I have a lot of them. As the Red Sox were starting off their season with a W today, I was oohing and ahhing over my boys with a friend and she remarked that I have quite a few nicknames for the players. Here's some of my gems:
Jacoby Ellsbury aka: husband, Jacobs (pronounced Jah-cohbs), Coby, Jacoby
Dustin Pedroia aka: Duster Buster, Dusts, Dusty, Pedey, MVP
David Ortiz aka: Papi obviously.
Kevin Youkilis aka: Youkkkkkkkk, Kev, Kevy, Youky
J.D. Drew aka: JD Baby, Jade, Nancy (as in Nancy Drew)
Jason Bay aka: Jaybay, JJ, Jace
Mike Lowell aka: Mikey boy, Mikey Wowell, Oh **** did you see that (most frequently called this when he makes an amazing play)
Jed Lowrie aka: rookie. Seriously, he hasn't been on the team long enough. I just call him Jed most times.
Varitek aka: TEKKIE! My screename on aim is a version of his name that involves ctek for Captain Tek. He's also JJ, Tekster, Jtek, boyfriend
Josh Beckett aka: Becks, Buddy, Joshie, Josher
Daisuke Matsuzaka aka: Dice, Dicey (on a bad day)
Jon Lester aka: hero, buddy, Jonny, my Jonny, Les, Les Bes
Tim Wakefield aka: Wake, Wakey, Timmy, Wakers
Clay Buchholz aka: Buchholz with two Hs. Seriously, this is what I call him. Have you ever seen a last name spelled like this?

Manny Delcarmen aka: Manny D
Javier Lopez aka: J-Lo, Javy
Takashi Saito aka: Hash Browns. Don't ask why I have one for him and not Jed Lowrie. I could not explain this.

Not sure if you noticed - but your blog posted twice. Don't like Nancy for JD - but Dusty & Pap & Mikey are favorites of mine.

Haha my friend and me nicknamed J.D. that last April I think. My dad get's really upset when I call him that too. It's out of love.
Yeah I don't know what happened with the posting . . . It appeared that way in preview and did not in the actual publishing screen, so I just went with it. Can't hurt, right?

I called Dustin Pedroia Lusty Dusty once last year. I was very happy haha. I use most of these nicknames too. Especially Lowell's: oh **** did you just see that?
